An "exhilaration" of Wings

Borrowing from the title of a book by Jen Hill, on May 14-16, 2010 at Pensacola Beach Florida there was pervasively felt "an exhilaration of wings"! Didn't we have a time? Thank you to everyone who contributed to the experience by their participation and attendance. We look forward to seeing you next time, May 3-6, 2012!

Grants

From its inception, one of the aims of the Wings to the Spirit Foundation has been to assist artists whose work has a spiritual or social content/focus/message to further produce, grow and distribute their work. One avenue to that aim that we recognized early on was financial assistance in the form of grants.

This year we are able to made a modest beginning with awarding grants. We hope that this kind of support for our artists will grow and evolve over time.

We are happy to announce that the 2010-11 Grant Guidelines and Schedule are now available. Please see the homepage of the Wings website for more information. We look forward to considering your proposals.

Archiving and Plans for a Blog

Wings also announced the beginning of another mulit-year, major initiative - an archiving service project. The purpose of the project is to begin to professionally archive for posterity works specifically by Baha'i artists from around the world who are working at this time in the evolution of mankind. The details of how this project plans to proceed will be on the website soon.

And.....look for the Wings website to host a blog beginning in October 2010. If you are interested in writing a guest commentary, please contact us with your ideas or writing samples at info@wingstothespirit.org.

“That day will the Cause spread like wildfire when its spirit and teachings are presented on the stage or in art and literature as a whole. Art can better awaken such noble sentiments than cold rationalizing, especially among the mass of the people.”
