We're Back! Wings to the Spirit Conference 2010

Hello Wings to the Spirit Newsletter readers! Like many of you, the last year has held some challenges for us, and we are delighted that we are now in a position to be back in touch with you. We would like to remind you all that the third Wings to the Spirit Conference will be held May 14-16, 2010 at the Hilton on Pensacola Beach, Florida. If you have attended a Wings Conference before, you know that this gathering is full of spirit and surprises. If you have not, we invite you to discover what it is all about.

We are so pleased to let you know this much: that our keynote presenters will be Siamak Hariri, architect of the luminous Baha’i Temple to be built in Chile, and Sasha Rogers, a well-known and well-respected visual artist from Canada. As well, there will be varied workshops and a surprise or two (of course!) Registration should begin in March 2010.

What happened in 2009?

The Wings to the Spirit Foundation presented an intensive weekend on The Arts and Healing at the beginning of this year and sponsored a weekend deepening called The Soul of Love given by Dr. John Woodall. Wings hopes to continue to offer similar events in the Fall of 2010 and early 2011. We also continue to sponsor the development of a project called Tapping into the Spiritual Power of the Arts (please see the website tab for more information).

Wings to the Spirit Foundation, Inc.

The Foundation continues to evolve and will share some exciting developments with you at the 2010 Wings Conference. One of our goals this year is to expand our website to include a richer source of information including: past presentations, a more detailed resource list, and information on other arts-related events.

Stay tuned!

“That day will the Cause spread like wildfire when its spirit and teachings are presented on the stage or in art and literature as a whole. Art can better awaken such noble sentiments than cold rationalizing, especially among the mass of the people.”
