Sonya Bennett
Sonya Bennett currently lives & works in the historic and colorful town of Fairhope, Alabama on the Bay of Mobile.

While she claims no artistic training other than exposure to the beauty of nature and the arts, she creates fine prayer beads representing all of the World's Faiths, loves to decorate homes, to plan special events, loves letter writing, and is currently working on a novel called "Ecor Rouge".

Sonya enjoys giving workshops and public talks about the Faith using the theme of 'joy and abundance' according to the writings of Bahá’u’lláh. One of her favorite creative expressions is the southern tradition of story telling. She especially enjoys giving dramatic readings from the lives of famous Bahá'í women who have played heroic roles in the teaching of the Bahá'í Faith.

One of the services she is most happy with is hosting a teaching team of Bahá'í women in her area. There are ten team members who call themselves 'The Birds of the Meadow', (a name derived from a Tablet written by Bahá’u’lláh found in Compilations, Bahá'í Scriptures, p. 133). She loves her current job serving as a 'seeker specialist' for the Southern Regional Council.

However, Sonya believes that her greatest contributions to society are her three children, Ally, Alex and John and her irresistible grandchildren.
