We are pleased once again to offer an Artists’ Marketplace space for the Wings to the Spirit 2008 Conference. This year the Marketplace will be in the Hospitality Suite on the 3rd floor of the Hilton Towers. Because of our new location we have two different types of spaces available. Artists can reserve a single space for $25. Single spaces are defined as a small round table or a ½ of a 6’ table, all spaces are approximately 3’x3’. Artists who require a larger space can reserve an entire 6’ table for $50. Tables will be minimally dressed to allow flexibility of individual displays. There are only 23 single spaces available and they are being offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Marketplace table rentals are for registered conference participants only. Those attendees wishing to reserve a space in the Marketplace should please send a check with their conference registration payment. There will be no spaces available for purchase on site. The deadline for purchasing a space in the marketplace will be April 20, 2008.
Guidelines
Set up of the Marketplace will be from 12-4:30 pm on Friday, May 2, 2008. The Marketplace will be open 3 times a day on each of the conference days beginning Friday night during coffee house and then again during the lunch break, dinner break and coffee house break on Saturday and Sunday. During the rest of the conference the Marketplace will be closed and locked and inaccessible to attendees until the next scheduled opening. Artists purchasing a space in the Marketplace are entirely responsible for the sale of their goods and may retain all profits from their sales. If the artist cannot man their table during open hours they need to make arrangements with a friend to cover their table or accept that no sales will be made in their absence. Artists are responsible for their own cash box and change supply. The Marketplace will be manned by a conference volunteer during all open hours but volunteers may not be asked to watch tables in an artist’s absence.
